As I am now rapidly becoming a 'woman of my age' and they are definitely printing things smaller, especially micowave instructions, the new Specsavers Advert really tickled my funny bone.
Although, I'm just begining to need reading glasses at night if my eyes are tired I am already wondering if I might need to swap Red and Magic for a big cat like a lion or tiger just so that I can see it easier...? The downside would be the strain on my auld bones dragging a wildebeast home for their tea!
OMC, that ad is so funny! I'm almost at that point, have to use plain reading glasses now for most things (probably need a prescription, just haven't gone for an eye check in a few years). My old analogue TV died in December 2011 and I bought a new one at that time, during Boxing Week sales, got only a 32-inch...should have gone for something like a 47-inch, because I certainly can't read text that comes up on it. LOL.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I don't think I've mentioned this, but it's refreshing for me to comment as myself sometimes, not as my cats. I enjoy that too, but I do appreciate being able to be just me on certain blogs/in certain posts! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh don't feel badly, our Person has been wearing glasses forever and still can't see very well. I sure hope I don't have to trade these kitties here in for bigger ones. LOL. Happy Mother's day to you. Tell those kitties to do something special for you today.
ReplyDeleteThe woman here has started wearing glasses. still hasn't stopped her tripping over us or accidentally booting us across the floor.

Our Mum wears glasses for watching TV and for driving but if she tries to walk round in them or read in them she can't see. Therefore we are always looking for her glasses as she takes them off and puts them somewhere "safe"! Of course they are safe as she can never remember where the "somewhere safe" is!

ps Usually Lucy has whapped them under the side table where she sits.
Haha! The mom got a good laugh from that video! The mom wears contacts and glasses...and still has problems seeing. Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteOur Mica Minnie Moo lived outside long enough that after she was rescued, she has no desire to go outside or even near the door. As far as she's concerned, those days are over with, she's staying in!
ReplyDeleteno swapping needed - do what my husband does... stretch his arms or move further away :)
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your fab comments and it is great to know that I am definitely not alone in my feeling that the written word and tv screen is definitely shrinking. You've made me laugh too with your sometimes successful strategies for coping and the less successful use of putting them in a 'safe' place!
